Cold season is upon us, but that doesn’t mean you have to get one. Keep a handful of these supplements in your purse or desk drawer to take at the first sign of a cold: Zinc Lozenges, Echinacea (with or without goldenseal) or St. Olive Leaf Extract, and Vitamin C. Studies have shown that taking these supplements when you first notice cold symptoms can prevent the illness altogether or greatly shorten its duration.
